For 67 years, PowerSouth has remained a trusted energy provider for our distribution members, who provide electric energy to more than 1 million consumers in 39 Alabama counties and 10 Florida counties.

However, the principle on which it was organized in 1939 remains unchanged -- created by people, for people.

| Over 60 years ago, people just like you worked together to form the beginnings of South Alabama Electric Cooperative (SAEC). With the energizing of the first electric lines in June of 1937, SAEC has continued to grow and serve the needs of the people living in southern Alabama.

| Central Alabama Electric Cooperative is a not for profit, member-owned electric distribution utility serving more than 40,000 meters in a 10-county area of central Alabama just north of Montgomery. The cooperative is a $150 million company with 5,500 miles of line serviced by 123 employees. Our customers are both members and owners of our business. They are represented by a 10-member elected Board of Trustees that makes business policy and responds to member-owner needs and expectations. This provides our customers with a voice in our business decisions and keeps our company responsive to their needs and expectations.

| EREC was founded in 1939 to bring affordable electric power to the residents of northern Escambia County and Santa Rosa County, Florida. EREC is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative headquartered in Jay, Florida, with an additional office in Walnut Hill, Florida. While providing dependable electric service at competitive rates is our mission, we continue to seek additional ways of enhancing our area’s quality of life.

| The organization of Covington Electric Cooperative in 1944 rescued many south Alabama farm families from the dark despair of life without electricity. Now, Covington Electric Cooperative’s more than 2,600 miles of line transmits electrical service to more than 22,400 meters in parts of six counties: Covington, Coffee, Crenshaw, Dale, Geneva and Escambia. Covington Electric Cooperative’s headquarters is located in Sanford, AL (near Andalusia). It has branch offices in Brantley, Enterprise and Samson.
